WHAT IS THE EARLY RECOVERY COORDINATION TOOLBOX?
The Global Cluster for Early Recovery designed the Early Recovery Coordination Toolbox for Cluster Coordinators for Early Recovery and Early Recovery Advisors. The Toolbox provides a summary version of information on concepts, processes and tools essential for an efficient coordination of early recovery approaches in a country in crisis. It is intended primarily for Early Recovery coordination experts and practitioners. The toolbox aims to enable Cluster Coordinators and Early Recovery Advisors to mainstream Early Recovery into the Humanitarian Response, and to improve Early Recovery coordination between humanitarian actors, development partners and Government during the crisis.
The toolbox is based on the Guidance on Early Recovery Coordination. It is made up of different tools, consisting of a short brief and key examples, templates or support tools which provide more context and information on Early Recovery, and guide humanitarian and development partners in better supporting Early Recovery.
In addition to the Early Recovery Coordination Toolbox, GCER designed an Information Management Toolbox also available on the Early Recovery Online Resource Centre, which address needs actors depending on who you are, what phase you are operating in, and where you are working. Support tools and analysis tools are available to enable a better use of information for decision making.
